The Systems Analyst II role at First National Bank (FNB) involves interpreting business requirements and translating them into detailed system design specifications to support the development of innovative, flexible, and efficient technology solutions. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, and developers to analyse requirements, design technical solutions, and produce logical, functional, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Interpret business requirements and translate them into detailed system design and technical specifications
• Analyse requirements and collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and developers to design effective solutions
• Design and document APIs, integrations, databases, and system logic
• Produce clear functional, logical, and technical documentation to support development and testing
• Support new system implementations and enhancements to existing systems, ensuring alignment with business and technical standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Systems Analysis or a related IT role
• Strong knowledge of SQL, SOAP/REST web services, and system integrations
• Proven experience using SOAP UI and working with JSON, XML, XSD, and Swagger
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Relevant IT qualification; TOGAF certification is advantageous
